About Me
Hi, I’m Julie, a therapist who believes in real, human connection.
Finding a therapist can feel overwhelming. You are scrolling through profiles, reading descriptions and trying to figure out who will really understand you. My goal is to make this process feel a little easier.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor offering in-person therapy in Robinson Township (near the Pittsburgh Airport) and telehealth across Pennsylvania. I provide support for adults navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship stress, low self esteem, burnout and the daily pressures of “being everything to everyone.”
My approach is warm, validating and honest. You never have to pretend you’re fine here. You can show up exactly as you are even if it is messy, anxious, overwhelmed, hopeful, confused, tired, grieving or ready for change. I believe in the mind, body and spirit connection. I believe in mindfulness and overall wellness. I want to make sure that all parts of you (mind, body and spirit) are connected and working in sync to navigate through the tough times that you have gone through, are going through and will go through in life.
My Counseling Style
I believe therapy works best when it feels like a real conversation. You won’t get judgment or “just think positive” advice. You’ll get compassionate support, gentle honesty and a space where your emotions make sense. Together, we’ll:
slow down racing thoughts
explore the patterns that keep you stuck
process painful experiences at your pace
build grounding skills you can use in daily life
strengthen your boundaries, confidence and clarity
work on creating more peace in your relationships
help you feel more connected to yourself again
What truly guides my work is empathy balanced with practicality. I strive to understand your experiences from your perspective while also helping you move forward with intention and clarity. Therapy with me is collaborative, supportive, and focused on creating lasting, meaningful change.
My approach is integrative, drawing from several evidence-based modalities, including:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)-informed strategies
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Mindfulness-based approaches
Solution-Focused Therapy
Client-Centered Therapy
Existential Therapy
Motivational Interviewing
I also incorporate guided imagery, relaxation techniques, and other nervous-system regulation skills when helpful.
Why I Do This Work
People often come to therapy feeling worn down by life, juggling work, family, relationships, expectations and internal pressure. I became a therapist because I’m passionate about supporting people who carry heavy loads and rarely give themselves the same care they give everyone else.
I deeply believe in your capacity to heal, grow and uncover parts of yourself that have been buried under stress, fear or self-doubt.
